Lauren graduated from the world renowned National K9 School for Dog Trainers in Columbus, Ohio after an intensive 6 week Master Trainer Course. At completion, she earned the title of Certified Professional Trainer and is qualified to train in the following areas:

About Lauren
Lauren has 2 senior Boxers, Stella and Vinnie, 8 chickens, and a chinchilla named Molly. She loves animals and has always enjoyed working with them in various capacities. Lauren has run a dog boarding business since Summer 2009 and has loved welcoming vacation boarders into her home. She was a 2nd Grade Teacher for 3 years before deciding to pursue her love for animals and passion for dog training. Lauren has operated Southern K9 Institute since Summer 2010. Lauren is married and is a mother of three young children, one with special needs.

Volunteer Work
In addition to running a training business, Lauren has volunteered with Rockin' P Rescue, the Boxer rescue organization serving Alabama and Georgia. She has worked with foster dogs that have behavioral challenges and helps them to become confident and obedient before placing them in permanent homes, as well as working with new owners as they adjust to their new dog's personality and temperament.
